The finish is decided before the first coat
Anyone can roll paint on a wall. What you actually notice a year later is the preparation: nail pops and cracks filled and sanded flat, caulk run along skirting and architrave so there is no dark shadow line, stains blocked so they do not bleed through, and the right primer on bare plaster or timber. That is where most of our time on an interior job goes, and it is why we quote per job rather than per hour.

The hardest area in any house to paint well: high walls, awkward access and constant traffic. We use proper access equipment rather than balancing on a stair ladder, and finish in scuff-resistant washable paint.
Living rooms and bedrooms
Careful cutting-in at ceiling lines and coving, tight edges around skirting, and two full coats so deep colours look even in daylight rather than patchy.
Kitchens and utility rooms
Grease-resistant, wipeable finishes and correct preparation around splashbacks and cabinetry. We can also repaint kitchen units where the doors are sound.
Extensions and attic conversions
New plaster gets a thinned mist coat first, then topcoats, so the new space matches the rest of the house and does not flash or peel in year two.

- No. We work room by room, protect floors and furniture, and keep the rest of the house usable. Modern water-based paints are low odour, so most families stay put throughout.
- Do you paint ceilings and woodwork as well as walls?
- Yes — walls, ceilings, doors, frames, skirting, radiators and stair spindles. Ceilings and woodwork are what make a room look genuinely finished rather than just recoloured.
- Can you paint over new plaster?
- Yes, once it is fully dry. New plaster needs a thinned mist coat first so the surface bonds properly; skipping it is why paint on new extensions flashes and peels later.
